Managing the Cattle from Start to Finish
American Wagyu cattle are fed for around 550 days, three times longer than traditional U.S. beef cattle. At Snake River Farms, the animals thrive on a natural, sustainable diet, free from growth-promoting hormones, featuring Idaho potatoes, soft white wheat, corn, and alfalfa hay.

Every Bite is a Masterpiece
With more marbling comes more flavor. This wagyu beef features intense marbling that exceeds the capabilities of the USDA grading scale. To accurately assess its premium quality, Snake River Farms utilizes a unique blend of Japanese and U.S. grading standards. The grades are determined by an infrared camera system that calculates the amount of marbling, or specks of fat inside the muscle at the 13th rib. This grade is then verified and audited by a USDA employee.

QUICK & EASY RECIPE
Cowboy Tri-Tip Roast
Ingredients
1 Snake River Farms Tri-Tip
Spice Blend:
- 2 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Sweet Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Dried Thyme
Instructions
- Combine all spices in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Remove the Tri-Tip Roast from the package and pat dry with a disposable paper towel. Generously rub the spice blend on all sides of the roast.
- Light grill and preheat to a medium high heat. When hot, place the roast in the center of the grill and close the lid.
- After 3 minutes, rotate the roast 45 degrees and cook with the lid closed for another 3 minutes.
- Flip the roast and repeat on the other side, 3 minutes, rotate and another three minutes. Reduce the grills flame to medium low and temp the roast with a meat thermometer.
- Once the internal temperature reaches 128 degrees Fahrenheit, remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes for medium rare before slicing against the grain and serving with your favorite sides such as potato salad and beans.
